2020 USCAST Comparative Tables

This document shows the currently published susceptible breakpoints for three breakpoint determining organizations (USA-FDA, CLSI and EUCAST-SC) compared to those breakpoint criteria recommended by USCAST. Only four antimicrobial agent classes are presented (fluoroquinolones, aminoglycosides, oxazolidinones, peptides), those drug groups that have been most recently addressed by the USCAST process via official reports or where breakpoints were suggested at the time of regulatory approval in the USA or Europe. USCAST advocates an active harmonization process among these organizations to minimize discords between antimicrobial susceptibility test results produced in the USA and the rest of the world.
